Josie, what are the most vital things we are missing out on by not deregulating CRISPR? Cows that don't emit methane? Making mosquitos sterile so they can't spread malaria? Eliminating the BRCA gene that causes breast cancer? Give us your top five examples that would help humanity.

Bacteria and viruses are good at "adopting" genes without inheriting them, right? It might be an interesting thought experiment to imagine what "they" (bacteria and viruses) might do, on the positive and negative side, with genes intended for other purposes.

What genes might make a fungal disease transmissible, human to human (or animal to animal), and what genes might block that? How about a prion disease?
